Editorial Notes
Path analysis
The predictive relationships are illustrated by path analysis thatshows how differentindicators may influence other selected indicators, which we call outcomes (for example,migration tendency, trust in institutions, etc). Path analyses should be read from left to right.Indicators may be either positively or negatively contributing to the outcome, meaning that they can either reinforce/strengthen (blue connecting lines) or inhibit/undermine (redconnecting lines) the outcome. Thickness of connecting lines indicate the strength of therelationship. Such analyses help identify strategic entry points to boost positive and desirablechanges in society
